Port Chambly

Set within lush vegetation, the Mediterranean-style village of Port Chambly lies where the river meets the sea.

The bell tower, the paved patios evocative of Moroccan ryads, the steep, winding paths, the small bridges straddling canals and the ochre-coloured houses, all contribute to the indescribable charm of this small village.

Following the contours of a century-old coconut grove, this village is a haven, halfway between the resort villages in the north and the capital, Port Louis.
